It is a unique laboratory in the Czech republic and related to implemented metodics (measurement in the near- and the far-field, compact range methods) comparable with foreign universities.
Microwave laboratory (625)
Scalar measurement in the frequency range 10 MHz-40 GHz (scalar analyzer HP 8757E), vector measurement 500kHz - 50 GHz (HP8753C, Agilent PNA E8364A), noise figure measurement up to 18 GHz (HP8970A), frequency measurement up to 20 GHz (Takeda Riken TR5212, HP 5350B), power measurement, measurement of frequency spectrum 9 kHz - 40 GHz.
Computer laboratory for the design of microwave circuits, antennas and radio links (823)
Workplace consists of 16 computers. Software equipment: RADIOLAB for the design of radio links, circuits simulators MIDE, MICROWAVE OFFICE, electromagnetic simulators for the analysis and optimization microwave circuits and antennas in time and frequency domain CST MWS a FEKO, mathematical tools MATLAB and MathCAD. Other software equipment of the department: electromagnetic simulators ZELAND IE3D a FIDELITY, SEMCAD. Laboratory for antenna measurement in the far field (outer) Laboratory consists of transmitting and receiving workplaces equiped by generator and receiver ATLANTA and calibrated antennas for the frequency range 500 MHz – 110 GHz. Both workplaces has been built simultaneously with the mather building as rooftop extension. It is one of the two inique laboratories in the Czech republic. Most of software equipment is just for educatinal and research purposes only. Commercial exploitation possible in special cases.
Laboratory of milimeterwave and optical technique (621)
It is equiped by waveguide components for the measurement in the range 3 GHz – 110 GHz and by optical reflectometer for component measurement of optical links. Infrared camera FLIR P 25 for contactless measurement of temperature distribution.
